This page is for the Iber app (Android package com.iber.app), published by Iber, Bengaluru, India. It explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data when you do.
Delete it in the app
- Open Iber and sign in.
- Go to Profile, then tap the settings (gear) icon.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm.
The account is deleted straight away. You are signed out and cannot sign back in to it. This cannot be undone.
Delete it by email
If you cannot sign in, or you no longer have the app, email shiva@joiniber.com from the address your account uses, with the subject "Delete my Iber account". We may ask one question to confirm the account is yours. We delete it within 30 days and reply to tell you it is done.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes:
- Your account and sign-in details (email, linked Google / GitHub / Apple sign-in)
- Your profile — name, photo, headline, skills, about, education, experience, location
- Your phone number
- Your builds, their demo videos and their GitHub verification records
- Your Newsletter posts and their photos
- Your job applications and the resumes attached to them
- Your assessment recordings, transcripts, scores and proctoring records
- Your identity selfie
- Your comments, likes, follows, messages, blocks and reports
- Your Iber Card and its public link
- Your push notification tokens
If you are a company, your company profile, the jobs you posted and the applications to them are removed too.
What may be kept, and for how long
- Error and analytics logs — kept for up to 12 months. They hold an account id, not your name or email.
- Copies a company already has — a company you applied to may have already seen or saved your application, recordings or scores. Those copies are under that company's own policy.
- Records we must keep by law — for example accounting or legal records, only for as long as the law requires.
- Backups — a deleted account can remain in backups for up to 30 days before it is overwritten.
Delete some data without deleting the account
You do not have to delete everything:
- A build — open it from your profile, tap the menu, then Delete.
- A Newsletter post or a comment — tap its menu, then Delete.
- Your identity selfie, phone number or anything else — email shiva@joiniber.com from your account address and say what you want removed. We do it within 30 days.
